Food for Thoughts Notecards was a project that grew out of the pandemic in 2019. We found the importance of having more time to write thoughtful personal notes to friends and people we cared about. Profits helped address hunger in our local community, and still do!
I sell packages of very reasonably priced cards with 15% of profits going to the local Watauga Health and Hunger Coalition.
Each card image is from an original painting by my dad, and every painting has it's own story of how it came about! We have many different cards of regional landscapes, fish, and florals!
Card packets are 5 cards and envelopes of one image, and they are blank for writing notes and have a Matte Linen finish. Some are available in two sizes, 5"x7" ($15 per pack) and "4 1/2 x 6 1/4" ($12 per pack).
I started this project in 2019 as a rising 8th grader in Boone, N.C. I wanted to start a small business since we had recently studied about them and the stock market in school. The pandemic months at home gave me the opportunity!
Now this little business has been raising money for the Hunger Coalition for over six years!
I love to draw and paint, take photos, and I am always learning more from my dad the artist.
