Original Fine Art and Archival Reproductions

 While I take great pride in my printmaking, the heart and soul of a work of art inhabits the original. Some pieces are more difficult to part with, and pricing may reflect my level of attachment. I trust that original works offered tend to find their rightful owners along the proper timeline. It is a great joy to see this happen, not only for the pleasure inherent in making a sale, but in feeling that the intended owner/collector has arrived. As a technology and digital imaging enthusiast, Wes has been experimenting with reproducing his work via inkjet printing to a very high standard since the late 1990s. Bear Trail Art reproductions are unique in being produced completely in house, with direct oversight by the artist. For many years Bear Trail Art searched for the elusive best approach to creating note cards from original images. Matte finish papers didn't have the color saturation desired, and most volume commercial printers used this approach. The perfect card is now produced on Red River Gloss paper via inkjet using archival Epson Claria inks. They cost a bit more, but in realizing that many folks enjoy framing them, they will not fade over time! Know that other art products such as screened t-shirts and bumper decals are given the same kind of scrutiny.
